During the 2004 IIHF World Championship will be the Fun Arena running on for the visitors of Prague´s games in the Sazka Arena. A huge pavilion lays on 2000 qm and will offer to the visitors place to have a rest and to refresh.

 

Visitors will find grilled and warmed up smoked meat, draught beer brand Budvar, non-alcoholic drinks and ice-cream. There will be also automats for coffee and other hot drinks. Refreshment prices will be around 20 to 40 CZK, traditional cash payments will be replaced by jetton system. Counters for exchanging money to jettons will be in the front of the pavilion. „It´s got advantage especially for foreignes,“ said Boris Malý from  Globus company, the company running Fun Arena.

 

Fun Arena will be opened for 2000 visitors two hours before each game starting on the 24th of April 2004. The requirement for getting into the Fun Arena is a valid ticket for games played  in the Sazka Arena. The pavilion will be opened every playing day from 10 a.m. till midnight. Integral part of Fun Arena has to be also fun. „There is a band coming, it is now reheasing songs from all participating countries. When for example Czech team wins, the band will play Czech songs,“ explains Boris Malý. Live music and canned music will vary on the stage. One of the biggest surprises will be the possibility to teleview direct transmission of hockey games directly in the Fun Arena.
